  • High performance tools for measuring strain field in deforming components 2017-11-29 23:42:00

Direct Strain Imaging (DSI) an improved visual strain measurement technology using single or multiple cameras to track minute movements of dots applied to a component. It is now embodied in a system with precision, sensitivity and real-time data processing throughput that, in addition to standard tests, enables previously difficult tests such as measuring strain tensor component fields in rapidly moving components.  Click here for the mforesight.org ideas to watch article

  • Point Semantics enters into license agreement with the U.S. Navy 2017-01-23 01:00:40

The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Technology Transfer Office, in conjunction with George Mason University (GMU) and the NRL Computational Multiphysics Systems Laboratory (CMSL), have entered into a licensing agreement for the commercialization of NRL-developed strain imaging technologies. The agreement grants Point Semantics Corporation rights to develop the technology for industrial and laboratory uses and to market worldwide. The technologies, developed over the course of the last decade, have been used to test and characterize structural composite materials, electronics materials, shape memory alloys, and additively manufactured components. For more information please Click Here.
